| Autism treatment that includes early diagnosis and intervention increases the prognosis for long-term outcomes. Treatment should be individualized and should incorporate long term goals and outcomes using a variety of approaches. Treatment at Unlimited Learning, PLLC is provided by specialists in the area of Autism, Neurodevelopment and Behavior therapy. At Unlimited Learning, PLLC we believe that by teaching replacement skills in natural situations we will decrease maladaptive behaviors and the replacement behaviors will generalize across environments. Behavior therapy consists of analyzing the individual behavior in a variety of settings, then putting in place strategies to address problematic behaviors that required modification and teaching replacement through development in sensory, cognitive, communicative, motor and social-emotional areas. Any behaviors the individual exhibits independently can be used to build rapport and to teach functional activities. Social-emotional development will be enhanced through the respect provided to each individual and through the acceptance of each individuals strengths. Stressors are identified and decreased and the individual is provided with methods to self-manage in high stress situations. The behavior plan is incorporated throughout the day so that the individual receives a consistent message each time he or she displays an aversive behavior. Identification of appropriate behaviors and social skills are vital for teaching new skills. All program assistants at Unlimited Learning, PLLC will be educated in this model. Key Areas of Treatment
