Occupational therapy is devoted to promoting participation in all areas of an individual's life to promote healthy development.  It addresses perceptual motor skills, ability to reach and grasp, mobility, sensory processing, psychosocial and behavioral skills, cognitive development and functional abilities such as feeding, dressing, bathing and play skills. The goals of occupational therapy include helping people gain or regain skills for independent functioning, health, well-being, security and happiness.  

Unlimited Learning, PLLC offers a client centered approach in evaluation, consultation and direct therapy services to improve a person's ability to engage in all areas of their life.  The occupational therapists uses multi-modalities to facilitate achievement and to help the central nervous system integrate sensory information t foster skill development leading to self-confidence, self-management and independence.  The Occupational therapists specialize in sensory processing, treatment of autism and behavior disorders, food selectivity and limitations with eating skills, oral motor therapy, ATLAS, Therapeutic listening and neurodevelopmental treatment. 

Therapy focuses on using meaningful and purposeful activities to promote healthy engagement in daily occupations. The activities are altered and adapted to meet the goals and objectives of each individual's treatment plan and compensatory strategies are taught to individuals as necessary to improve quality and participation in life. 

Occupational therapy oath

As an occupational therapist I will revere the quality of life as life itself, assist all who request my help according to my ability and judgment; provide sufficient information to enable my client or those responsible for my client to make informed decisions regarding my client, sharing only with those others who are immediately involved with my clients' care; be goal directed and objective in my evaluation and intervention but above all I will be with my client in the stress of evaluation and the work of intervention; make only recommendations that I judge as being beneficial to my client, maintain my competence and represent that competence accurately; accept my own limitations and when indicated seek the assistance of those with different or greater knowledge and skill, ask only a reasonable fee for service; take responsibility for participating in formulating the policies and standards of my profession; build upon the knowledge and skills with those who will follow through publication and teaching; respect my colleagues to the extent that they deserve my respect; sanction those colleagues who are incompetent or unethical in practice; be accountable for all my decisions and actions. 

To the members of my profession and the society to which I am responsible and serve, I make this pledge with full understanding of the actions required by this oath.
